(on Jay Street between Tech Place and Willoughby Street
in downtown Brooklyn )
Registration will start at 7:30am and finish at 8:30am.
7:30am ｭ 8:30 am Registration
7:30am ｭ 8:30 am Shinai Safety Check.
8:00am ｭ 8:30 am Warm Up Exercise.
8:30am - 9:00 am Opening ceremony
9:00am Individual Match Start
1) Woman Division
2) Kyu Division
3) 1 & 2 dan Division
4) 3 dan & Up division
So please come by 8:00am and do shiai check and warm up and ready.
*** Kenshinkai members should come to the gym by 7:00 a.m. for the tournament preparation.
The location is very close from the subway station.
The first subway stop from Manhattan.
It is across the street from the back of the new Marriot hotel. The entrance to the University is glass enclosed and close to a 20 foot high red sculpture shaped like many red cylinders.
By Subway:
A, C and F train - get off the jay street/ metrotech center station which will leeave you close to the above described red sculpture.
2, 3, 4 and 5 train - get off the Jay St./ Borough Hall Station.
This will leave you off about a block from the Marriot Hotel which is on Brooklyn Bridge Blvd.
Walk to the Hotel and pass it on the right to get to the back of the Hotel.
The University is across the Street to the right of the high red sculpture.
N and R train - get off Court st. station which will leave you off on court st. Across the street should be a park and large state and court buildings.
The Marriott Hotel is inback of these buildings on Brooklyn Bridge Blvd. Get past these buildings then get to the back of the Marriott Hotel.
By Car:
East bound BQE - Get off Atlantic Avenue exit and make a right onto Atlantic Avenue. Go straight 5 blocks and make left on Smith Street. Smith changes it's name to Jay street after 5 blocks. After another block after Willoughby
you will see Marriott hotel on left and a the red Sculpture on right. The University is right there on the right.
Parking:
There is all day indoor parking 4 blocks further up on Jay Street on the corner of Concord Street for $6 and change.
Westbound on BQE - Get off Manhattan Bridge Exit. This a sharp 360 turn slow speed is a good idea. Once off it is Gold Street, then Flatbush. After Flatbush bear to left lane and make left at Jay street. After one block you
will see red sculpture on right hand side. University just before the sculpture. Make U turn. 4 blocks up is parking.
Brooklyn Bridge - Go to Tillary Street, stay on left two turn lanes. Watch for turn light and traffic cops. After left turn go to right lane and turn right on first corner which is Jay street. After one block you will see red
sculpture on right side of street/ make U Turnbea- parking 4 blocks up after u turn.
From Manhattan Bridge - Once off bridge make right at Tillary then make left on next block which is Jay Street. After one block look for red sculpture on right side and make U turn. 6 Metrotech Center right there.

剣心会メンバー、Gregory Allen Tuckerさんが先週の土曜日、
４月２３日に逝去されました事を謹んでご報告します。
グレゴリ-は２00４年２月に剣心会に入会、その後、
彼の真面目で優しい人柄は、剣心会のメンバー誰からも愛されていました。
最近は、仕事の都合で稽古に数ヶ月参加できなかったのですが、
できるだけ早く剣道の稽古に戻りたいと話していました。
剣道だけでなく、さまざまな武道を愛した真の武道家に、
心からご冥福を申し上げます。
WakeとFuneralは以下のように開かれます。
